Your Retirement Health

A Snippet From Chapter Nine Of My Book

“When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be.” — Lao Tzu

“Every single thing you do matters. You have been created as one of a kind. You have been created in order to make a difference. You have within you the power to change the world.” — Andy Andrews

So here I am. I face my future with love and confidence. Why am I so excited? Because I have something of value to say to retirees (and maybe others, too). I have learned a lot the hard way. I can provide value. And in the process, have a wonderful life. Here’s to our fantastic future!

A 10-year MacArthur Foundation study of people age 70 to 80 showed that those with the highest mental functioning had three traits in common: They were more mentally active, more physically active, and had a sense of their contribution to the world around them.

Theodore Roszak, author of Longevity Revolution: As Boomers Become Elders, strongly believes that the growing number of older people is a positive social development, rather than a potential social and fiscal crisis. He believes the Boomers will tend to be energetic and idealistic as they were in their youth, and be more valuable to society than earlier retirees. How does that fit for you? Are you game?
