A Snippet From Chapter Four Of My Book

Chapter 4: Only as high as I reach can I grow, Only as far as I seek can I go, Only as deep as I look can I see, Only as much as I dream can I be. — Karen Ravn

The human body and its brain is the universe’s most advanced development — far more complex than the largest super computer. Some experts say the brain is channeling the energy, creativity, and intelligence of the universe. But both the body and brain unfortunately tend to deteriorate as we age.

Many of us have breathed a sigh of relief upon retirement, relaxed and vowed to rest our brains that we have stressed so very much for many years. Not good. Truth is, vegetating is one of the worst things you can do for your brain.

Retirement brings about an evolution to a new and different way of life. Our challenge is to make it even better than our pre-retirement life. Our success will be based on the choices we make which, in turn, are dependent on our awareness of our alternatives. To have the best retirement possible, we must empower ourselves with knowledge of who we truly are and what new choices we face.
